Bungie announced a delay of a marathon, the upcoming extraction shooter. The game will no longer be released on September 23 and Bungie has not given any novel date to release the game.
“Thanks to each comments and real -time conversation in social media and disagreements, your voice was strong and bright,” writes the team in the update of the marathon development. “We took it to the heart and we know that we need more time to create a marathon for the game, which really reflects your passion. After many discussions in our development team we decided to delay the release of September 23.
“The ALFA test has created for us an opportunity to calibrate and focus on what will make it extremely convincingly-pressure, mystery and lid at every corner, end challenges reminiscent of RAID and FPS fighting FPS with the definition of Bunkie species.
“We use this time to enable the team to create intensive experience with high rates, in which a title such as a marathon was built. This means deepening the relationship between programmers and the most important voices of the game: our players.”
The blog post also emphasizes the areas that the studio wants to improve before the full release of the game, and which will be planted under a microscope in the upcoming tests. These include:
- Raising a survival game
- More hard and engaging AI meetings
- More satisfaction, with novel types of loot and energetic events
- Make the fight more tense and strategic
- Double the universe of the marathon
- Increased visual loyalty
- More narrative and environmental story for discovering and interaction
- Darker tone that provides topics of the original trilogy
- Adding more social experience
- Better impressions of the player for solo/duets
- Proxa chat, so social stories can revive
Bungie will probably not give further updates to the development of the game for the next few months, as they say: “You will hear from us again later this fall, when we can share the progress we have made, along with the novel date of the game. Thank you again for your patience and – more importantly – your passion. Your continuous feedback.
Many go to the marathon for the Bungie and PlayStation team, because Console Maker tries to avoid another shameful flop of the title of the website live – Concord was obviously a huge financial record, when the game was released, quickly withdrew from the shelves and closed last year. Bungie has survived the exemptions over the past year, after launching Destiny 2: the final shape, with many projects canceled or rejected after a few years of worse profits. After the initial response to
The problem is, of course, that the delay can miss the boat even more and not exploit the interest that exists in the novel extraction shooter.
We are looking forward to more this year.
