The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Review

Published:

I am deep in mine Switch 2 reviewas to Mario Kart World AND Welcome Tour Being the only two exclusions of the first page, a huge part of this process looked back at the improvements of existing games. We have already looked at Breath of the WildBut I spent the weekend, visiting the stunning continuation, which I reviewed in 2023. And not only the legend of Zeld: the tears of the kingdom are still persistent, because I can’t wait to lose several dozen hours, updates and accessories for the Switch 2 edition make it as if it was always played.

Before we immerse ourselves in the deep ones, let’s look back at what I said about the tears of the kingdom in my initial review:

It’s the same today as then, and I wouldn’t guess on the other side 10, which I hit in 2023 for a second. The tears of the kingdom could not be a completely revelation, its predecessor was, but the way he expanded both this formula and the world was really stunning. There is a humorous number of things here and almost none of them is less than amazing. But what about the changes in the Switch 2 edition?

HDR is an absolute changer

Perhaps the most stunning thing, which is part of this update, is the ability of Switch 2 to employ HDR displays. The increased number of frames per second and resolution are nice enough, but testing the darkness of the deep for HDR is, forgive melamburation, the difference at night and day. Unexplored areas are still black until they are highlighted, so it’s not like exploration that has been completely inconsequential, but the low -light areas are suddenly much more pronounced than they used to be. It pulls out some of the frustration of stumbling in the shadowy without removing tension.

The tears of the kingdom are no longer delayed

In addition to these visual improvements, better performance appears. The tears of the kingdom have never been terrible in this respect, but from time to time they slowed down or began to hook at busy moments, and this completely went to Switch 2. Similarly, diving from heaven straight in depth could from time to time stop for a quick second to let the world load, but I never saw it on switch 2.

The building is also butterly sleek, because the employ of Zonai’s skills was another of the moments that you can potentially see that things are starting to sneak. Once again, it is all sleek and pristine. These are not the most monumental improvements to update improvements, which costs money (if you do not have the Nintendo Switch online pass), but they make the tears of the kingdom seem as if they finally achieve its final form – and are enough helpful that I seriously consider playing much more in this game.

Charging times are very brisk now

Speaking of performance, a special scream should go specifically to charging. They are ridiculously brisk now. The charging screen has always had this little animation, in which the icon pops up on the map, which then scrolls into the recent location, and then finally stick back. The charging times of Switch 2 Edition are so brisk, it is kissed.

Divides many of his greatest updates with Breath of the Wild

Both the Breath of the Wild and the tears of the kingdom were able to employ reinforced Switch 2 equipment to make these technical modernization, but both games also have many recent integrations with the Nintendo Telephone application. Adding audio diaries that can be found in some locations and listening to the phone is a neat accent, as well as the possibility of storing and sharing items in a way that is effectively a huge raise in the size of stocks.

However, tears receive one unique skill: you can save your compilations as QR codes, and then share them between friends so that you can quickly reconstruct your things. This is a nice idea, but I was a bit disappointed that he lacks built -in tools for sharing or discovering. If you want to see what other people have created, you almost have to look for codes on forums or social media, and I think that as a result I will not employ much from this function.

Now it’s time to actually overcome the tears of the kingdom

Finally, although this is not particularly crucial for the updated version of this game, a brisk dog/desperate request from me: beat the tears of the kingdom if you haven’t done it yet! Ending is So well. If you beat Breath of the Wild, then the ending can make you think that there is not much to see here – but the end of tears is really amazing. The final fight is probably my favorite in every Zelda game, and the places of its history are unexpected, like amazing. Thanks to all these improvements, there has never been a better time to discover what you missed if you didn’t see him until the end two years ago.

This is my quick look at the legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s Switch 2 Edition, although I am certainly excited that I can see more after what I played last weekend. Once again, it seems that such a game was always to be played, and I am excited about the idea of a recent generation of discovering it for the first time. He will certainly keep you more than busy until I returned to my final review of Switch 2 the following week.
