During today’s Unreal CD conference, Projekt Red showed the technological demo of The Witcher 4, and one of the most impressive things is that this technological demo works on the basis of PS5 at 60 clamps with radiation. Because it is a demo, and the Witcher 4 still in early development, this does not necessarily mean that the final product will go to the same reference points.

The demo shows us the first look at Ciri in action, as well as in the Kovira region, mentioned in previous games and books, but for the first time players will be able to discover the region. We also present the horse Ciri, Kelpie, her pure black horse, which seems to have a little more personality than Geralt’s roach. The up-to-date Unreal Engine 5.6 update also adds up-to-date things to this experience, including, for example, adaptation to nanite leaves and character movement, so horse riding turns out to be equally realistic.
The Witcher 4 world is much more reacted to Ciri’s actions. In one part he falls into someone carrying the apple box. The person drops apples, the child and some pigs notice, and runs to collect fallen apples. The clip shows larger crowds collected on the market square to watch the performance, they all match the game without sacrificing 60 FPS.
Witcher 4 was revealed in December with confirmation that Ciri would take the role of the main character. We only know that this is the beginning of the up-to-date era of the Witcher series and it is set in Kovir. We do not have any details yet about what Ciri took to Kovir or which signs will return in this continuation. The release date has not been confirmed either.
