Sometimes this is not what you play, but where you play, it makes a difference. Since Nintendo Switch appeared, more and more games have been described as “perfect for switch” to feel more at home on a manual device. I appreciated this sentiment, but I did not think that it went beyond the convenience and convenience of the device. I certainly never thought that my change would completely reverse my opinion on not only the game, but the whole genre.
This is exactly what happened to the building, and now I am ready to see if Nintendo Switch 2 can do the same trick.

My love for Roguelels began with Isaac binding. In particular Revival PS4 version, which has been added to PlayStation Plus. I was addicted to the game, slowly unlocking more characters and items, and I admired how many possibilities it could explain. If you believe in my PlayStation clock, I have over 300 hours in the game. When the vice -chairman, what playing began to weaken, I knew that I needed something different to fill this void.
Later I played most of the great Roguelelicees like Ftl, for violation, AND Nuclear throne and I enjoyed everyone, but nothing could play the hold Isaac for so long. When I heard about the recent one Killing of the needle And as it received universal recognition and quick at the top of many of the best Roguelike lists, I knew I had to try. The art was not so unique, but it wasn’t IsaacS, but it was held as the assumption of this quality “one more gear” for which I itch. It sounded like my perfect game on paper.
And I hated it.
It was a few weeks after starting, when it was still available only on the PC, which was not my perfect platform. At that time, my platform was not intended for games and I was still intimidated by the noticeable cost and complexity of computer games as a whole. No other choice and Killing of the needle Being such a low game that even my needy configuration could run it, I tried straightforward. I could boil my reluctance easiest Killing of the needle as unfair. Having so many hours in this genre, I knew better than to think that I would be a roller for this game and become a champion. But all my initial runs ended with just a few meetings. Because it is a deck, I blamed my losses for the randomness of my draw, I can never fully engage in real building elements at all.
Honestly, Killing of the needle This is a very hard game. Being challenging did not turn me off, but starting and ending my runs in just a few minutes, not seeing how no progress convinced me that the angle of building deck was simply not for me. It just seemed too complicated and hard, as well as contrary to random elements of the genre. That is why I did not turn to the Switch port a little later, until the conversation came again about the quality of the game and how “perfect for switch”.
It was a uncommon moment when I am glad to succumb to Fomo. I am usually joyful with the implementation of a game of high praise, it is simply not for me, but I could not shake it was For me and that I missed something.
One slothful weekend came my first switch. Being nice and comfortable on the couch, I immediately noticed a change in my approach. On the PC I was able to click and throw the cards I wanted to play as soon as I saw them, but on the switch I was forced to snail-paced down. Navigation with the controller is not awkward, but certainly more purposeful. This somehow gave me permission to think about things even more and I began to realize that I had not played in her terms before. I treated “basic” enemies as if I was normal feed in a different Roguelike, but every meeting in Killing of the needle requires respect.
This little breakthrough finally led me to such an extent that I could start tinkering with actual construction. What I initially thought was irrelevant or not impressive cards before suddenly began to make more sense when I slowed down and looked on the deck as a whole. But the greatest benefit was when I realized potential synergy or interaction, I could be able to utilize the boss or the elite and I could test it as soon as this inspiration hit. To this day, PC games are always “closed” on my office chair – physically and mentally – while the availability of Switch freed me to take Killing of the needle With me again mentally and physically.
It opened the wall to a whole species of frames that I love that I know that I would pass if the switch did not open my initial impressions Killing of the needle. Now I’m waiting impatiently Kill II II arrive and I am in a hurry to return to the newly published Monster Train 2.
With switch 2 on the horizon, I am ready that my pre -accepted concepts or needy first impressions with the species will be re -elected. I expect that this will be the case with many strategy and 4x games, thanks to the functionality of the mouse, but I would like it to be something unexpected. Even if this does not happen, Switch showed me how much influence on the platform I play on can have my perspective.
