The latest in the composition of intensively configurable game headphones, Anker Soundcore Liberty 5 fights on the stage with style and practicality from the side. But with one of the best headphones for games appearing under it USD 130/£ 100 Price, SoundCore Liberty 5 will have to offer something really special for its price range to get to the list, especially compared to its breaks.
When throwing the housing out of the box, I was impressed by a silky, matte stone structure. It looks great white and although scratches have become a common sight for weeks of daily apply, it is straightforward to tidy. The cover gently moves (as far as you remember which direction is the SoundCore logo) to reveal two bars in -ear inserts and a tiny button between them for evaporation. Simple, aesthetic pleasant and I only need one hand to open them. This is a damn good start.
Before getting stuck, I had a selection of six different sizes of ear tips. An uncertain way to take root in a tiny ears, like me, because I constantly fight in ear inserts. They usually fall out when I smile. Not with these children. It would be arduous to find a person whose ears do not match at least one option. Sure, they do not intend to form the shape of the ear, as Logitech G fits, but Liberty 5 is also half the price and has a better specification.
By pushing this ordinary to the maximum, the SoundCore application allows you to choose between five levels of energetic noise cancellation (ANC) in manual mode and aircraft or car in adaptive mode of transport AI in real time. I haven’t had the opportunity to test it on a real plane yet, but there is a significant difference when you scale to the fifth level of Anc (our Jakub used the SoundCore Liberty 4 Pro on the plane and says that it works great). He turns to whisper, and the ribbon of my dehumidifier is completely inaudible. Unfortunately, they do not block the higher sounds of rage sounds from the neighborhood, but they take off the advantage.

In the application, you can not only change the EQ-Z with a fairly effective preference test to tune it to your preferences-but also edit the ear controls. Each ear insert has a stem touch sensor, which makes it easier to avoid accidental pressing, but most importantly, both can be assigned many controls. There are single gestures, double, triple and long, and each of them is mapped to the game/pause, previous and subsequent controls. You can even open it to open the preferred voice assistant, scroll ANC modes or take a picture. The main benefit for me is that I never got stuck with an ear ear button, unable to skip the songs because I left somewhere a second one.
This is something that I do a lot, which in my elderly buds Echo Amazon meant that I always returned to dead headphones. Fortunately, Liberty 5 allows them to be turned off when inactive (also edited in the application). I had to charge the matter only once in the last two weeks of continuous apply – and I mean constant. I worked from Liberty 5 all day, I walked with them through a dog and I was still able to pull the rain from them before I fell asleep.
Having literally five minutes of charging, I get just over seven hours of battery life, about four times, as long as the matter requires charging … all with Anc on. Not to mention the fact that the housing for five minutes also with a tiny brisk charging cable. Basically, Anker nailed the battery rating. And of course, Liberty 5 will not match the Creative Outlor Pro due to the huge battery life, but it has enough so that you can go for weeks.
Listen to the microphone on Liberty 5 in the clip below:
My tests included very deafening, very incensed listening, which Liberty 5 bravely supports Dolby Audio. In addition to the wide reaction of the frequency and support, LDAC provides a sultry, versatile sound scene even with Metalhead volume, although the headphones never fit the efficiency of the best headphones for wireless games. Really depressed part? No LDAC or Dolby in the game mode. This is because they absolutely trample the response time, which after preparation is quite stunning. Most players will not notice the difference, but the game mode certainly increases experience. There is a higher accuracy with more pronounced steps, because it bends to higher frequencies, while moving away from rumbling falls. This makes me think that it would be great for ASMR, although I don’t like to test it.
Buy if …
✅ You want configurable comfort: There are so many ways to make Liberty 5, from a lot of ear tip options to the EQ test to get the perfect sound for your ears.
✅ You want intuitive experience: Liberty 5 has an straightforward -to -use application and practical functions from the box, with simplicity.
Don’t buy if …
❌ You need longer battery life: There are ear inserts with a much better battery life, although not much in this price range.
❌ You can stand a little more: Discuss an additional few tens, and you can get earlings with much wider features.
As for the microphone, you can expect a super clear quality of sound recording, but without the function in the application to reduce the sound of the background and six microphones, you will hear All It lasts in the background by connections. It even raises all the annoying lips that cause my misophony. Therefore, true, but some noise gate options would not be like that.
Thanks to the great aesthetics, strong Anc, practical adaptation and brisk, exact sound, there is a lot to love in Liberty 5. My main scratch a woman whose clothes often do not contain pockets, is that I can get about five meters from the phone, behind one slim wall before the Bluetooth connection falls. This will not be a problem if you are glued to a gaming monitor, but it is not great for homework. Despite this, this is the only evil thing I have to say, except for a matte white housing straightforward to crack.
It is true that you can spend some extra cash on Shinier Pebble-Bbleble Sister, SoundCore Liberty Pro 4, but who needs a barometer and a fancy OLED screen when you can have a matte structure with the same level of battery life and a wider frequency response, all for less?
Of course, there are cheaper ear inserts that you can consider to be a player, depending on your needs. Contrary to our current headphones in medium -range games, Earfun Air Pro 4, Liberty 5 is slightly more costly, but offers a wider sound stage. It does not quite match the life of the Air Pro 4 battery, or does not allow wireless headphone charging, although it is arduous to find headphones with this level of adjustment and accuracy of the sound in this price range.
