Hi everyone, mafia director Alex Cox here. On behalf of the team in Hangar 13, we are excited that we can present our novel trailer of the game Mafia: The Old Country.
With so many details in the game, I wanted to take this opportunity to offer an additional insight into all invigorating actions that we have just revealed. Here is a collapse of some smaller details that we packed in every trailer scene:
As our hero, Enzo Favara, he leaves after receiving orders from Don Torrisi, you may notice striking contrasts between various environments from 1900. Sicily. From field roads surrounded by rural villages to dim catacombs, decorative residences and other characteristic setting of the game includes a wide range of richly detailed locations – all genuinely overlapping in a way unique for this rapidly changing period. We were spoiled by choosing, deciding which visually stunning views would serve as a realistic background for our coarse criminal drama.
Following Enzo, when he goes down to an old tanker, you will look closer to the mafia: well-established, suitable for the fighting era-in this brutal presentation of the stiletto enzo blade in action. After sending the guard to the outside, Enzo distracts the next patrolling enemy before burying a knife in the neck. By being near another guard, he throws a blade, quietly killing him from a range – a moment too delayed when others are notified.
Even when the situation breaks out into a busy fire fight, the meeting emphasizes how the game combines hiding with a flat fight. Each approach complements the second, creating more coarse, more resources. Enzo could leave two shots, but with the support of a knife and an explosive lantern, it removes the room with only four missiles. The basic pillar of the mafia: the fight project in the aged country is the idea that “every ball counts” – so think twice about relying only on your firearms!
Then the fiery cut -out of the match leads us to the next sewing of the franchise: White driving. This time, Enzo stands behind the wheel of a motorcycle from the turn of the century-the same coarse roads, once worn by horses. These vehicles deal with weight and weirdness that you can expect from a car vintage, but you can still count on many invigorating games. In the whole series Mafia we have always been proud of tuning our vehicles in the game to genuinely capture the impression of older cars-cars in the aged country are no exception.
By falling into another bloody shooting, we will double to the mafia: the philosophy of “Each bullet counts” the aged country in a slightly different context. After removing the nearby enemy, Enzo misses the next shot and only two rounds in revolverie remain. Instead of hanging back, to overload, he falls into the cover and turns to a shotgun to exchange close range. Making any number of missiles is not only a scrching of ammunition; Sometimes aggressive pushing forward is a smarter tactical choice – and even necessary for your survival. Mafia veterans will feel at home in these adrenaline shootings and we know that the addition of Edge of Danger will resonance with long -term fans of the series.
And although it is simple to focus on the action in this sequence, let’s not skip the amazing environment: the lavish banquet hall of the opera. This stunning scene shows visual improvements that we have been able to achieve since its transition to Unreal Engine 5. The novel set of tools has allowed our team to fill the environment in more detail than ever before, perfectly complementing a more realistic approach to fight.
Of course, the invigorating shooting and chases are not confined to the sequence on the feet or riding-you also also take the reins. The racing or fighting of enemies on the road can include horses, cars, weapons or any combination of these three – another example of how the mafia: the unique surroundings of the aged country opens the door to fresh phrases about the type you know and love.
Finally, the last section emphasizes how the mafia: the aged country transfers the fight of the knife to a completely novel level with one -on -one duels. Inspired by the Sicilian traditions of fighting a knife, these fatal meetings develop in key moments in history-when the enzo must put his life for the family of crime crime. This is a thrilling novel way for our hero, to closely and personally with your enemies and for us to deliver game fans or death.
I can say much more about this opulent criminal drama, but I can’t give more details without a further breakthrough of Omertá. After saying, you would do well to have your eyes to get more information in the coming weeks.
The team and I can’t wait for you to experience the mafia: the aged country when it starts on August 8. The game is available for pre -sale on PlayStation 5.
