Strauss Zelnick, a boss of Take-Two, moved to tranquil down interested shareholders after delaying GTA 6.
Earlier today Rockstar announced a significant delay for GTA 6, which is to be the greatest launch of the entertainment of all time. This took place for autumn 2025 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S, but now it will be released on May 26, 2026. This transition from the budget year from 2026 to 2026 for the 2027 budget year.
Early trade in shares on two of the two contributed to the value of 7.98%at the time of the publication of this article. In a statement issued on his Corporate websiteTake-DWO repeated its expectations that the company will achieve sequential growth and record levels of net booking (revenues) in the 2026 and 2027 tax year.
Zelnick himself commented, saying that Take -Ward Fours Rockstar in his decision to delay GTA 6 and told shareholders that he expected the company to provide a “long -term” growth period.
“We fully support Rockstar, devoting additional time to realize their creative vision of Grand Theft Auto VI, which promises to be a breakthrough, a hit of entertainment that exceeds the expectations of recipients,” said Zelnick.
“While we seriously treat the movement of our titles and appreciate the huge and deep global expectations for Grand Theft Auto VI, we remain steadfastly in our commitment to perfection. Because we still release our phenomenal pipeline, we expect a long -term period of growth of our activity and increased value for our shareholders.”
With GTA 6 and guaranteed billions that it was supposed to bring in 2026, which has already been over, what else contributes to Take-Two? In addition to having Rockstar, Take-Two owns the publisher of 2K Games and 2K Sports. Gearbox Borderlands 4 will appear in September. Mafia: The venerable country is also to be released this year. Expect another lucrative NBA (NBA 2K26) from 2K Sports. Looking further, the next Bioshock is in development, just like the next game of Ken Levine, Judas.
But in fact, nothing that 2K Games appeared next year, can make up a giant, i.e. GTA 6, leaving lighter cassettes. Saying that GTA 6 fans are generally surprised to see the delay, although they were hoping for at least a modern screenshot that will soften the blow.
