Policeman Shotgun is a return to the previous age of independent games, before Roguelike Deckbuilder’s opinion appeared to everyone, a age in which 2D-platformers with one mechanical hook was rage. “You can reverse gravity in this.” “You can predict time during this time.” Well, in Strzelce a policeman you jump, shooting at hell.
The plot is a gaunt excuse to fill levels with enemies and traps: you are a policeman in the shape of bricks who went down to hell to arrest Satan. Satan wears a string vest and has a chin at the back, and each of the nine world worlds begins with him, who gave you a finger and told you to hurry before the storm of demons lift him. Do not enter the cop with shotguns, expecting more stories.
The previous game Deadtoast, my friend Pedro, had an equally stupid story of an excuse – talking a banana told you to make murders – but with surprising accuracy. Although I miss this level of commitment to nonsense, Satan’s free release in your attempts to bring a double -barrow process to hell is quite fun.
It’s a rush game. Stand with a shotgun and you will be shot in the air, but shoot a gun, and you do some jump that will allow you to go through a ball without turning into the spikes above your head. After the arrival of the pipes, the pistol, which the ribys become amazing, because if you shoot it with a curved pipe at a right angle, you can jump out of the flying demon at the other end. This is a kind of joy that you will find in policemen from a shotgun.
It nails tiny details, such as the way you stop falling briefly while shooting a pistol, allowing you to combine several killings during antenna, when you fall in a glass full of demons, or the way in which the striking music sounds and distant when you were hit, and you are trying to catch a floating heart that stops you. Sound effects, such as “Foonk”, which you create when entering and leaving pipes and animations, such as spinny, overloaded one hand are also perfect.
There is a level and achievement editor, but I don’t see how I’m coming back now, I beat Satan. When I finished the shotgun, he completely left my head. What is fine. For me it is a one -time run, a one -time feast that I played for five hours and enjoyed all that must be.
