Take-Two, publishers supporting Rockstar in his work on GTA 6, talked about his support for a programmer after confirming the upcoming PS5, the title of Xbox Series X | S was delayed until May 26, 2026.
IN press releaseThe chairman and general director of Strauss Zelnick said: “We fully support Rockstar, devoting additional time to realize their creative vision of Grand Theft Auto VI, which promises to be a breakthrough, a hit of entertainment that exceeds the expectations of recipients.”
Zelnick continued, explaining that although the company treats the movement of its game, and really appreciates the emotions associated with GTA 6, “will remain steadfast in our commitment to perfection. Because we still release our phenomenal pipeline, we expect that we will provide a long -term growth period and increase the value for our shareholders.”
In response to today’s announcement of the GTA 6 delay, the actions Take-it fell dramatically:
GTA 6 will now issue consoles of the current generation on May 26, 2026, pushing it away from the original Fall 2025 release window. In his own statement Rockstar Games said that he would have more information to make available “soon”. He added: “We hope that you understand that we need this extra time to deliver at the quality level you expect and deserve it.”
