Blizzard apparently receives fresh StarCraft game fields from famed Korean programmers

Apparently, Blizzard receives many STARCRAFT video playgrounds from Korean studies.

In an article returned on the Internet by an X / Twitter account @KouraxboxnewsIN Asia today Four Korean companies were replaced, which reportedly compete with each other to develop fresh games based on Starcraft IP and protected publications: NCSoft, Nexon, Netmarble and Krafton. Apparently some of these companies went to the Blizzard headquarters in Irvine, California to make their pitches.

It is said that the NCSoft, which stands behind the MMOS war line and guild, broke the RPG Starcraft RPG (MMORPG?). Nexon, the producer of the first descendant, issued the “unique” utilize of IP Starcraft. Netmarble (Solo Leveling: Uprising, Game of Thrones: KingsRoad) hopes to create a mobile game Starcraft. And Krafton, a company standing behind Battle Royale PUBG and competitor Sims Inzoi, wants to create a starcraft game “based on its own development capabilities”.

Of course, video game companies are constantly saving other video games companies when it comes to securing the rights to publishing and development contracts. And it may be that nothing was mentioned here. But Starcraft fans will certainly pay attention to the reported interest in Blizzard … Something that could expand the beloved Science Fiction universe, considering how long it has passed since the last game in the series. Activision Blizzard refused to comment after contacting IGN.

It is worth remembering that it turned out in September Blizzard made the third attempt to develop a Starcraft shooterWith the former executive producer Far Cry Dan Hay, who joined Blizzard in 2022, leading a charge.

The message came from the reporter Bloomberg Jason Schreier during a conversation with the Ign podcast, below his latest Play Nice book: The Rise, Fall and Future of Blizzard Entertainment. Starcraft Hay’s Shots is mentioned in the book, and Ryan McCaffrey from Ign asked Schreier if it would probably come out.

“If it’s not canceled!” Schreier replied. “After all, it’s Blizzard. Their story with Starcraft shooters is not good.

“Yes, this is a project that I know, as far as I know, is in development, or at least since I wrote that this book is in development. They are working on a Starcraft shooter, Starcraft is not dead in Blizzard.

“The purpose of the book is not to get many measures about the upcoming things. It was not the purpose of this book at all, it was very much to tell the story and focus on the things that happened. But it seemed to be such an interesting and useful self -dealer, because it really shows that Blizzard could not give up StarCraft shooters.”

It was a reference to Blizzard’s infamous test to free Starcraft shooting in the past as part of the Starcraft franchise extension offer outside of its beginning of real time. Starcraft Ghostannounced in 2002, it will be a tactical game in which you played as deadly ghosts in the employment of Dominion, but was canceled in 2006 after a series of delays.

The second attempt to create a Starcraft shooter, Ntenamedamed Ares, was canceled in 2019 so that Blizzard could focus Diablo 4 AND Overwatch 2. Ares supposedly “like Battlefield in the Starcraft universe”, but like the ghost, he fell on an example.

Recently, in November, Blizzard was noticed to employ “the upcoming shooter game with an open world”, and all signs indicate that Starcraft FPS.

Things are slowly looking for Starcraft. Blizzard recently published Starcraft: Remastered and Starcraft 2: Campaign Collection on Game PassAnd he announced the crossover Starcraft from Warcraft Card Game Hearthstone.
