George RR Martin reveals: “There is a bit of conversation about making a movie from Elden Ring,” but there is one substantial, obvious thing that could limit his commitment – Ign Fan Fest 2025

George RR Martin released the strongest, but the film Elden Ring may end, but he recognized the significant blocker of his potential commitment to it.

Game of Thrones Creator is celebrated for dreamed of the world and history of Elden Ring from FromSoftware, which became one of the best -selling games from 2022. From Software and the publisher of Bandai Namco was based on Martin’s involvement in promotional materials, and loans, and loans, and loans to play, and start the game spots by saying that Elden Ring World was created by the boss Hidetaki software Miyazaki and George RR Martin.

So would George RR Martin be interested in returning to the continuation of Elden Ring if he asked? This question IGN asked him the man as part of the Ign Fan Fest 2025. In his answer Martin Sidetesteppped Elden Ring 2, but he abandoned a great indication that the film Elden Ring may be in the field.

“Well, I can’t say much about it, but there is a bit of a conversation about making a movie from Elden Ring,” said Martin.

This is not the first time he was teasing with the film Elden Ring. And indeed, the President of Fromsoftware Hidetaka Miyazaki said that he would be open to the adaptation of Elden Ring, but only if a “very strong partner” would play.

“I see no reason to deny another interpretation or adaptation of Elden Ring, for example a film,” explained Miyazaki in an interview with The Guardian. “But I don’t think myself or from software, I had the knowledge or ability to produce something in another medium.”

“A very strong partner would appear here,” Miyazaki continued. “We would have to build a lot of trust and consent to everything we are trying to achieve, but there is certainly interest.”

However, in an interview with IGN, George RR Martin admitted that there may be a significant blocker for every great commitment that he can have in the film Elden Ring: he is still working on the wind of winter.

Fans of the novel of George RR Martin’s novel fantastic long, I was waiting for the planned sixth entry from the series, The Winds of Winter. But after more than a decade of delays, even Martin recognizes the possibility that it will never be.

This is only the latest of what was more and more gloomy waiting for winter winds, with the latest entry in the series, Dance with Dragons, publishing in 2011. This is the same year in which HBO premiered the incredibly popular television series Game of Thrones, which is based on the A Song of Ice and Fire series Very More eyes to the world Westeros.

As for Elden Ring, Martin explained his work on the game, saying how he helped with software in building worlds.

“… When they came to me, they wanted the world from the software. They knew that the action of Elden Ring, which players entered, would be in the “present”. But something created this present, created this world. Where did this world come from? And I did a lot of building the world, especially on Westeros and the background of ice, fire and Game of Thrones. And I like to build the world. So what happened 5000, 10,000 years before the current action in Elden Ring, which led them to this place? And I had some ideas about magic and runes. There were many in Runach. And I did all this.

“It was fascinating that the band flew and had many sessions, and they flew away and did their magic, and then returned here a few months later and showed me what they had, what was always amazing to see what they came up with.”

Is everything Martin wrote in the game or are there more materials that can be used in future installments?

“Yes, I think that especially when you build in the world, there is always more on the screen that you really see,” Martin replied.

“And this is true about each of these great fantasies. I mean that you look at Tolkien and there are hundreds of sides of past history before you reach the Hobbit era and dozens of kings and wars and such things. “
