- The finals take place from January 31 to February 2 in India
- What awaits the 16 competing teams? The lion’s share of the prize pool worth up to INR 1 crore!
When it comes to mobile esports, PUBG Mobile has made large investments. Look as far as Krafton’s PUBG Mobile Global Open, where a massive $500,000 prize pool is at stake. But they are not the only ones hosting as the sixth season of the Snapdragon Pro BGMI Mobile Challenge concludes with the grand finale in India until next month!
From January 31 to February 2 at the Noida Indoor Stadium in India, some of the country’s best players will compete in 16 teams in the three-day mobile challenge finals. What’s on the line? This is nothing less than the lion’s share of the prize pool worth up to INR 1 crore, that’s what! Not to mention being crowned the Snapdragon Pro Series Season 6 BGMI Mobile Challenge Champions.
The tournament received a great response from the Indian esports scene, with over 300 registrations for the qualifiers and huge community engagement.
More to India?
India is a country with a huge mobile scene, but attention is divided among many major releases. While domestic developers such as SuperGaming and their projects such as Indus are trying to attract players with attractive Made in India offers, this latest development shows that imports from abroad remain extremely popular.
This is also an indicator of how vital India is from an esports perspective, as Krafton continues to make weighty investments to bring their hit battle royale game to the public during major tournaments. That’s not even mentioning their reported $10 million investment in the growing interest in grassroots esports.
