Dragon Ball: Spark! Zero will receive its first major downloadable content on January 23 with DLC Pack 1: Hero of Justice featuring 11 up-to-date heroes and more.

Bandai Namco announced the expansion via the trailer below and revealed the release date along with the information that anyone who purchases the $34.99 season pass, which will ultimately provide three full DLC packs, will be able to access it on January 20 at 3 p.m. Pacific / 6pm EST / 11pm UK.

The pack of 11 up-to-date characters that appear simultaneously includes Gohan (Superhero), Gohan (Superhero, Super Saiyan 2), Ultimate Gohan (Superhero), Gohan (Beast), Piccolo (Superhero), Piccolo (Potential Unlocked), Orange Piccolo, Orange Piccolo (Giant), Gamma, Gamma 2 and Cell Max.

The pack also includes the Red Ribbon Trooper Piccolo as a costume and three custom battles. Bandai Namco also joked that “that’s not all,” but didn’t say what other extras fans can expect.

Dragon Ball: Spark! Zero proved extremely successful for the publisher, surpassing three million sales in one day. It became the first sequel to the beloved Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi series in 15 years when it was released in October 2024.

Fans of the series immediately fell in love with its respect for Dragon Ball lore with features like encyclopedia mode.

They didn’t even get mad when one early fight proved incredibly complex because Great Ape Vegeta had the desired combination of random, unrelenting, and swift attacks that dealt a lot of damage. Players were tearing their hair out due to the game’s difficulty and setting relatively early in the game’s campaign, though Bandai Namco assured them that they could lower the difficulty and move on.
