Tonics are a special episodic mechanic Destiny 2Revenant episode, second in post Bungie-Final shape release of the epilogue. These Tonics lend a hand you target specific pieces of equipment for farming purposes (providing additional loot of the type you choose), and can also upgrade your artifact perks for a season, making your build even more powerful. Unfortunately, unlocking all Revenant Tonics requires a lot of work and resources.
Including Destiny 2 guide, we will walk you through it how to unlock Tonics and I will give it to you complete list of all Tonics you can craft.
How to unlock Tonics in Destiny 2
Tonics branch from each other, starting with uncommon, moving to occasional, and then to legendary. There are two exotic tonics you can craft, but you unlock this ability by collecting Intuition upgrades for the Assassin’s Fang shotgun in the exotic mission “Kell’s Fall”.
To unlock all “An undiscovered formula” Tonics, just buy lower level Tonics. Craft five extraordinary Tonics will unlock the rare Tonic in the same branch and craft four rare Tonics will unlock the legendary in the branch. The only catch is that for Tonics that have multiple branches to unlock, you’ll gain access to a random Tonic every four or five you purchase.
For example, if you want to get extra Gridskipper Pulse Rifle drops from Season of the Splicer, you can unlock Tonic of Gridskipper on the Tomb Gear Tonic track. To do this, buy five amazing Tonic of Tomb Gear potions. Doing this will unlock randomly or Tonic Defends the Tomb Or Tonic from an antique grave weapon.
For example, let’s say you unlocked the Tonic of Tomb weapon, which is not the Tonic from which the Tonic of Gridskipper branches off. You need the Tonic of Vintage Tomb weapon. To get what you really want, you’ll need to craft five more Tomb Gear Tonic potions to unlock the Vintage Tomb Weaponry Tonic, then craft four of them to unlock one of the three Legendary Tonics that branch off of it – one of which is Gridskipper .
If you’re looking for a specific Tonic, it’ll be a bit of luck with the draw system, where you’ll bet on various resources (which you can find out where to find them through the Tonic Capsule in the game) until you get the Tonic you want. But if you just want to unlock all the Tonics to complete Eido’s Fieldwork, simply craft each uncommon Tonic until you’ve unlocked all the rare Tonics in that category, and then craft each rare until you’ve unlocked all the legendary Tonics that come from it.
Just a fair warning that rare resources will be a bottleneck in this process, as you need one for every rare Tonic you need to craft. If you want to unlock all the Tonics, be prepared for a lot of Revenant activities.
