The up-to-date Pokémon Go Tour Pass will debut during the 2025 Unova event

As you approach Pokémon Go Tourfeaturing creatures from Unova, Niantic reveals some key changes and updates to this year’s event. The tour starts on February 24 at 10:00 local time and will last until March 2, 2025 at 18:00 local time.

You can get a Tour Pass as part of the 2025 event to maximize your rewards and make sure you get as many bonuses as possible. The pass is free and tracks your progress throughout the event, and to earn points, simply catch one of the best Electric Pokémon or the best Ghost Pokémon – or whichever type you prefer. You have until March 9 at 18:00 local time to redeem the rewards earned in the pass.

If you upgrade to the Deluxe Pass, you’ll get an encounter with the mythical Pokémon Victini and a shiny up-to-date item called the Lucky Trinket. The Deluxe option costs money, but gives you even more rewards and faster progress. Deluxe Passes cost $14.99 (or local equivalent), but you can pay $19.99 to unlock the first ten tiers from the beginning.

What rewards can you earn during the trip? First, a free T-shirt related to this year’s event, which coaches receive free of charge at the beginning. You then unlock points rewards by completing minor and major milestones, which grant Pokémon encounters, candy, free balls, stickers, and avatar items, respectively. Passing milestones also increases the amount of XP you earn per catch, up to three times the normal amount. You earn points by catching and hatching Pokémon, participating in raids, and completing event-specific tasks that refresh daily.

There is also a Lucky Trinket item. This is the final massive, shiny reward of the Deluxe Pass. This is a one-time item that turns your friend into a cheerful friend, whether you are best friends in the game or not. Trading Pokémon with a cheerful friend makes both Pokémon cheerful. They may appear with a flickering effect and become stronger when used in combat.

Sounds good, right? Who doesn’t like accessories? Speaking of which, we have up-to-date Pokémon Go cheats here, along with a full Pokédex list of all the best Gen 1 Pokémon, all the way up to the best Gen 9 Pokémon.
