The recent year is here and Goddess of Victory: Nikke is celebrating by bringing a ton of recent content to players. There are many co-op events, free recruitment opportunities, a recent version of a popular character, recent story content and personal experiences.
If you haven’t played Goddess of Victory: Nikke yet, it’s a free-to-play sci-fi RPG shooter from developer Shift Up that can be downloaded on iOS, Android, and PC. You command a group of android soldiers named Nikke and lead them in a fierce battle to reclaim the world from a cruel race of aliens called Raptures.
The game has been a huge success, recently celebrating its second anniversary and reaching 45 million downloads worldwide. For two years, he collaborated with several renowned brands, including Neon Genesis Evangelion, Chainsaw Man, Nier: Automata, Re:Zero Starting Life in Another World and Dave the Diver. This tradition will continue in 2025, with Shift Up recently announcing a collaboration with Stellar Blade, as well as a second collaboration with Evangelion.
The Stellar Blade collaboration will combine two popular games developed by Shift Up. Stellar Blade is an action-adventure game available on PS5 with a setting similar to Goddess of Victory: Nikke. You play as Eve and your mission is to reclaim Earth from monsters called Naytibas after humans lost the battle against them and were forced to flee the planet.
The Evangelion collaboration is coming in February and will feature tons of recent content. It will add two brand recent recruitable SSR characters named Asuka: WILLE and Rei Ayanami (tentative name), and Sakura will be a co-op character that can be obtained for free. Additionally, there will be recent co-op character costumes (including free costumes), a recent 3D event map, a recent co-op event storyline, and a recent Bullet Hell mini-game.
These two collaborations are the biggest events on the horizon, but they’re not the only updates coming to Goddess of Victory: Nikke. It all started on the first day of the year with the addition of a recent, recruitable version of Rapi, the game’s heroine. Called Rapi: Red Hood, she is the awakened form of Rapi who has taken on the power of another robust Nikke called Red Hood. The recent version of Rapi is SSR Nikke, the highest rarity in the game. The improved version of Rapi also comes with recent events that delve into her story for the first time.
The start of the recent year also brought events that reward players with free chances to recruit characters. With recent events and story content, you can gain a total of over 100 recruitment opportunities. This gives newcomers or players who haven’t played in a while a chance to jump into the game and keep their feet on the ground. Additionally, the recruitment banner featuring the popular Scarlet: Black Shadow character from last year’s New Year’s Eve event will return.
New Year celebrations also took place in the real world, and will continue with two live concerts in Japan and South Korea. The concert, titled Melodies of Victory, will first take place on January 11 at the Pacifico Yokohama National Convention Hall in Japan, and then on February 15 it will move to the Grand Peace Palace of Kyung Hee University in Seoul, South Korea.
