The Helldivers 2 modding community has released some cold stuff lately – especially if you like games like Crazy Taxi or, in this case, Halo 3: ODST. It looks like, as far as I know, the first-ever full “Warbond” mod has just appeared in the game, and it’s looking pretty good.
Before we go any further, it’s worth stating that this mod is technically similar to War Bonds, and doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of the official War Bonds that Arrowhead puts out, but if you’re just after a up-to-date, tried-and-true piece of armor, this will definitely lend a hand you .

This “modified warbond,” as its lead creator, modder Jayypino, has dubbed it, is called “Dogmatic reach‘ for reasons that will soon become very obvious.
It basically includes a bunch of up-to-date armor and helmet sets that consist of a combination of Helldivers 2 and Halo 3: ODST gear – which means you’ll look a bit more spartan, but not as potentially annoying as mods that just let you dress up for Master Chief or something similar. It’s “something different but familiar,” Jayypino writes, with “custom vanilla-style textures” that “should pair nicely with vanilla armor.”
Each of the up-to-date armor sets – which replace existing sets in the game – will have alternate paint options that will give your helmet some creepy teeth, as well as a blue color scheme that will match another War Bonds-style custom mod that Jayypino, Team has been working on for grave situationsSEAF specialists‘.
You need to download the latest version of TeutinsyHD2 Mod Manager‘ to try out the mod and say hello to his three up-to-date armors – the Chimera, Hydra and Cyclops sets.
This isn’t the only fascinating thing going on in the HD2 community lately, as a data miner claimed to have accidentally triggered some sort of Illuminate Aurora Borealis while tinkering around with obelisks, while a budding artist created a 14-page mock-up of what an indoor dungeon mission could be look.
