The first thing I thought when I saw LIMB and BISCUIT side by side online was that it would be a good name for a rap/rock cover band, but did I think it might be a group called Connections? No, I didn’t do it. I just thought it was one of their jokes.
Instead, I found that DRUMSTICK, CORN, PICK and BISCUIT are all you can find at KFC. That’s sort of true, although it wouldn’t be a particularly electrifying order.
I finally made sense when I saw the four words that make up SECTION and ACCESSORIES FOR PLAYING AN INSTRUMENT, but I still got the DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE ELEPHANT against Nu Metal’s spelling mistakes.
Yesterday’s NYT Connections Answers (Tuesday, January 7, Game 576)

What are NYT calls?
NYT Connections is one of several increasingly popular word games created by the New York Times. The task is to find groups of four items that have something in common, and each group has a different level of difficulty: green is straightforward, yellow is slightly more tough, blue is often quite tough, and purple is usually very tough.
The advantage is that you technically don’t have to solve the last one because you will be able to answer it by process of elimination. What’s more, you can make as many as four mistakes, which gives you some breathing space.
However, it’s a little more complicated than something like Wordle, and there are plenty of opportunities for the game to throw you off balance with tricks. For example, watch out for homophones and other wordplay that can hidden answers.
You can play it for free via NYT Gaming Site on your desktop computer or mobile phone.
