Game of Thrones: Kingsroad with fresh gameplay trailer and gameplay details ahead of closed beta

Netmarble has released a fresh gameplay trailer for Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, its upcoming action-adventure RPG for iOS, Android, and Windows PC (via Windows Launcher). A closed beta test will also take place from January 16-22 in the US, Canada and selected parts of Europe. Watch the fresh gameplay trailer above.

Announced last month at The Game Awards, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is a class-based game where you can play as a longsword-wielding knight, the Seller, who draws inspiration from Wildlings and Dothraki and promises to be “raw, aggressive and destructive.” fighting or the Faceless Man-inspired, dual-dagger wielding Assassin. Gameplay will feature “fully manual” controls – no doubt a nod to Kingsroad’s mobile gaming roots.

In terms of plot, Netmarble describes the Kingsroad setup as follows: “Players will experience an entirely new story as they take on the role of a new character who, by a twist of fate, becomes the heir to House Tire, a small noble house in the north.”

Finally, Netmarble says: “Players can sign up for the regional closed beta from now until January 12 at official game website to play this game on Android devices or using the Windows launcher on PC.” The game will be fully released later this year.
