The Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Obelisk update is now live, and it’s the game’s biggest update yet, including a up-to-date map for Operations PvE mode, a up-to-date Chaos enemy, and a Dark Angels cosmetic pack for those who own the Season Pass. The update is now available on PS5 (with support for the up-to-date PS5 Pro), Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Return to the world of Demerium burials in the up-to-date Operation Obelisk. Here you will fight a up-to-date enemy, the Enlightened Tzaangor, who has quick attacks and flies around the world on a flying Disc of Tzeentch. However, they will not be restricted only to this map. As Majoris’ up-to-date enemy, they can now be found in every operation involving the Thousand Sons.
Additionally, the Season Pass includes some up-to-date goodies in the form of the Dark Angels Chapter Pack, which includes a up-to-date Champion skin for the Bulwak class, as well as up-to-date skins for the Plasma Pistol, Auto Rifle, and Power Sword. You’ll also receive the up-to-date Storm Shield skin and over 40 unique cosmetic items celebrating the eight chapters of the Dark Angels successors.
The Obelisk update brings some improvements for PS5 Pro and PC players, with the patch adding up-to-date maximum resolutions for both 60 FPS performance mode and 30 FPS quality mode, taking advantage of the PS5 Pro’s PSSR upscaling technique to achieve 4K in both situations. PC gamers will now also have support for FSR 3 upscaling and DLSS 3 with framerate support.
Saber has committed to bringing more content to the game through 2025. This will include both free updates that will add the Neo-Volkite gun, more up-to-date PvE operations, PvP maps and modes, and a up-to-date Horde mode in a later update. With Season Passes, you’ll be able to unlock more premium cosmetics for Space Marines so you can represent your favorite chapters.
In our review of Space Marine 2, Dom said: “The best interpretation of the Warhammer 40,000 universe we have ever seen. Bombastic, brutal and brilliant fun from start to finish, though those already invested in Games Workshop’s sci-fi world will get the most out of it.”
