Stern Pinball is back with another fresh machine and this time it’s a tribute to it Dungeons and dragons after the 50th anniversary of the tabletop RPG. The table comes with all kinds of fancy bells and whistles and an all-star voice cast, and it can be yours for just $7,000. Or you can pay almost twice as much for the confined version.
Dungeons & Dragons: Tyrant’s Eye takes players to the Forgotten Realms to battle owl bears, gelatinous cubes, a red dragon, and the watcher Xanathar, all with the assist of a pair of flippers and a few steel balls. Trap doors open fresh dungeons, and dice rolls will determine the further development of the adventure. I don’t have a spare down payment on a fresh car, but I do have a basement just waiting to be renovated where it would be a perfect fit.
I’m not a pinball connoisseur, but this all sounds great. Critical Role fans will also be in for a treat as Matthew Mercer, Laura Bailey and Marisha Ray are also part of D&D pinball’s voice cast, as well as Kevin Smith, Luke Gygax, Chris Prynoski, Brendon Small and Gerard Way. The table even includes the Stern Insider app that lets you save your progress. That’s effective D&D pinball roguelike. In fact, this would be a great idea for a real video game too.
