Rumor: PlayStation is working on relaunching some of its ‘Deep Cut’ franchises.

Published:

It was recently claimed that Sony is currently working on bringing back some of PlayStation’s dormant first-party game brands.

This comes from VGC Andy Robinson speaks on the latest episode of the outlet’s podcast (time stamp above).

As the conversation turns to Sony’s recent announcement about considering reviving venerable IPs, Robinson says the company is currently working on some of them.

Of course, this lines up with what the company has recently mentioned, but there’s no word on how advanced any of these alleged projects are, so it could be some time before we find out if Robinson’s claim is true.

Still, we’d love to see classic series return to PlayStation; The return of WipEout is long overdue and the thought of a modern MotorStorm, Resistance, Sly Cooper or Killzone is very invigorating. However, this is just wishful thinking on our part.

These are potentially some really frosty things to look forward to in the next few years, but what do you think? Discuss in the comments section below.
