Atari has announced that it will show off its portable console again at CES 2025 next week.
In the tweet below, Atari showed off the GameStation Go device, a portable video game player with additional buttons and a widescreen screen.
While the Gamestation Go comes complete with the D-pad, face buttons, and shoulder buttons you’d expect from a retro-style handheld, what sets it apart is the inclusion of the Trak-Ball and Paddle on the left side of the device and the keyboard on the right side.

There’s not much more that can be done at this stage, but the GameStation Go looks like the final product design that Atari unveiled a year ago. At the time, the portable computer was called the Atari Gamestation Portable and was scheduled to be released in the fourth quarter of 2024 for $149. This earlier version came with Atari Trak-Ball, Paddle, and Keypad controllers, and we can see the improved design of these controllers in the GameStation Go.
The Atari Trak-Ball is commonly used in the classic arcade games Centipede and Missile Command, and the Paddle is used in games such as Breakout. Atari games such as Brain Games and Codebreaker operate a keyboard. The My Arcade logo is located on the bottom of the device, which confirms that the product is manufactured under an official license from Atari.
You can expect Gamestation Go to play a long list of retro games, boosted by Atari’s recent acquisition of the Intellivision brand and some games from Intellivision Entertainment LLC. The purchase included the rights to over 200 titles from the Intellivision portfolio and Intellivision trademarks.
That’s all we have for now. Expect more when CES 2025 begins on January 7.
