We may still have a Bloodborne port on Switch 2

According to fresh leaks, Switch 2 it’s going to make quite a splash when it’s released – hopefully – later this year. Nintendo’s flagship handheld seems to be in for a huge leap in terms of graphics and visual quality, which makes sense considering it’s the successor to the original console and will therefore be looking to create something bigger and better.

But we started wondering what ports we might see on Switch 2 with such a leap in quality. Porting vast triple-A games to handheld consoles can be understandably hard given the stark difference in processing power. The Switch isn’t a fancy PC, and that’s okay. However, these fresh rumors promise that the Switch 2 will have the power of a PS4 Pro, which means we could potentially bring some massive games to the Nintendo Store solely thanks to the second-gen console actually being able to successfully run them.

This is quite an invigorating prospect. Of course, we don’t have any official information from Nintendo about the Switch 2’s release yet, so any rumors should be taken with a pinch of salt, but we’re pretty sure the fresh console will outperform the original. It just makes sense, so it’s not too far from the possibility of imagining huge games like Bloodborne, Skyrim, or The Witcher 3 at some point.

Of course, this also means that the games we know and love on Switch will become even more stunning, and we can’t wait to see what the fresh Legend of Zelda game will look like after such an advanced update. Unfortunately, Switch 2 performance leaks are by no means a guarantee. Most of these rumors revolve around the Switch 2’s graphics capabilities when docked, not when held on a handheld device, which is obviously what we all prefer to play on.

We’ll have to wait and see what Nintendo brings us when the Switch 2 finally arrives. But if you’re looking for the best Switch games to plug into in the meantime, we’ve got plenty to choose from, including the best Switch RPGs and the best adventure games for Switch.
