However, a game feature called the Chrono Shield steps in to aid you through these losses by nullifying any point deductions you gain as a result of losing the match. To learn more, here’s everything you need to know about Chrono Shield Marvel Rivals.
What is Chrono Shield in Marvel Rivals?
Chrono-shield is a useful feature that will protect your rank when you lose a match in the game. In other words, if you’re about to lose a few points after losing a match, Chrono Shield steps in and protects you from any degradation.
It basically acts as a buffer, so in any case you will lose 30 points and may be demoted to a lower rank; the shield will step in and protect your rank. This doesn’t mean you’ll level up, but at least you won’t lose your progress.
But there’s a catch: Chrono Shield isn’t something you can operate all the time. This is a one-time operate per match, so once activated it renews. This means you have to wait until it is available again.
The uncomplicated math is that the Chrono Shield charges based on the number of losses you suffer. The more losses you suffer, the more it fills up, and once it fills up, it activates when you lose the match.
However, it requires more losses for it to regenerate when you reach a higher rank. To be more precise, it is very beneficial for the beginner, but hardly helps the player who has a higher rank.
The biggest operate of this feature is to avoid in-game demotion. But, as mentioned earlier, you can’t really rely on this feature if you are currently at a higher rank.
