As usual, a banner featuring Makiatto’s signature Bittersweet Caramel sniper rifle will be displayed simultaneously with her speed-enhanced sniper rifle. The Bittersweet Caramel trait will allow Makiatto to deal 2.5% more damage to Paradeux units – the buff will then be increased by 2.5% if the target is also Frozen. His Art of Eradication passive will then allow any T-Doll wielding it to deal 10% more Freeze DMG, all while increasing their busy attack DMG by 10% for every four stances dealing damage outside of their turn.

If you’re Makiatto, her Ballroom Interlude alternate outfit will also debut on December 26 and will be available for purchase in the game store. But don’t worry if you don’t have the funds for it now, because the outfit will be available permanently.

All Makiatto skills explained

As a single-target damage Guardian capable of dealing massive damage to targets affected by Freeze, Makiatto is both the perfect partner for Suomi and a unit that shines on single targets, ideally when your team is drawing fire or moving to intercept. Below you can check out an overview of all her skills (in base value), based on their official descriptions:

  • Lone Wolf Territory (basic attack): Deals physical DMG based on her attack
  • Precise frigid shot (Weakness): Deal Freeze DMG and gain one stack of Cold Conviction for each instance of damage dealt. This attack is characterized by increased CRIT DMG.
  • Professional Tactics (Reinforcement): Deals physical DMG. The performance will earn Makiatto a certain number of Dressing Index points and one stack of Standard Approach.
  • Absolute Mental Defense (Ultimate): Makiatto applies Frost Barrier and Alert to himself.
  • Battlefield Insights (Passive): :
    • While on the field, Makiatto’s critical hit rate increases at the cost of critical damage. At the start of the turn, if her HP is above 80%, she will gain one stack of both Insight and Steady Progress. Furthermore, when attacking targets affected by Freeze and Ice, her attacks will ignore a portion of their Stability Index points and deal increased DMG.

What about her fixed and shared keys?

As expected, all Makiatto Keys will be focused on increasing her overall damage and performance with some additional native and passive buffs. Here’s an overview of them all based on their official descriptions:

  • Fixed Key – Extra Intelligence: After killing a target with a Cold Precision Shot, Makiatto will receive one point of the Gearing Index.
  • Permanent key – frozen with milk foam: Makiatto will gain 3 additional Confection Index points at the beginning of the battle.
  • Fixed Key – Steadfast Lone Wolf: If no other units are found within 3 squares of Makiatto, she will gain one charge of Lone Wolf after performing a Professional Tactic.
  • Fixed Key – Time for a break: After using any of the above skills on a freeze tile, all freeze related debuffs will be removed. You will also receive 3 extra move tiles.
  • Fixed key – heated caramel: Makiatto will utilize Killing Intent on the enemy with the highest HP at the start of the battle.
  • Fixed Kewy – Absolute Concentration: Increases her attack by 10% at the start of the battle. The effect will last until her HP drops by any amount and can no longer be applied.
  • The common key is the survival instinct: If your HP is greater than 80% at the start of the turn, the stability damage dealt by the equipped T-Doll will be reduced by 2 points. Can only be activated once per action cycle.

Is it worth pulling a Makiatto in GFL2?

Given her unique synergy with Suomi (aka the best support/healer in the game) and her ability to take damage to a whole novel level compared to both Nemesis and most current characters in the game, I highly recommend it to any players who have resources to pull for Makiatta. You could also consider the free standard Nemesis .50 sniper rifle to be a one-size-fits-all solution for her, making not having to seek her signature a luxury you can afford.
