From the second we ended up at House Corrino with him Dune– medieval style futurism and backstabbing, Dune: Prophecy proposed a kind of historical contextualization Dune a universe we had become accustomed to, one that many did not want to leave. According to HBO press release announcing the renewal, the premiere episode of the popular series attracted a Shai Hulud-sized 15 million viewers, 13 million more than Warner Bros. At today’s press conference, show runner Alison Schapker expressed her excitement for the second season of i Dune: Prophecy to “continue building our corner Dune universe.” Although the series is loosely based on the prequel novel Dune’s sisterSchaller wanted to expand the world while remaining in close collaboration with Brian Herbert and the original estate Dune author Frank Herbert. I’m talking to Business expertshe explained how Dune’s sister focused primarily on the period when young Valya Harkonnen takes control of the sisters’ congregation, at the same time she wanted to show the effect of her decisions in shaping the order in Bene Gesserit.

“We also wanted to have room to create a rich TV series and see the older Valya, played by Emily Watson, have a little more control – as she took over as the sisters, and then as she was tested as part of the broader exploration of the world as it went from the Sisterhood to the Bene Gesserit. We wanted to look at the organization over time.”

Season finale Dune: Prophecy airs this Sunday, and after a shocking episode in which we learn that Sister Francesca (Tabu), mother of Emperor Javicco Corrino’s son, Constantine (Josh Heuston), has been unwittingly thrust back into their lives to apply her powerful influence to return Bene Gesserit to a position of power in the Empire. All that remains is to see who will survive the second season once Spice calms down.
