NetEase Games and Marvel have announced that the first seasonal Marvel Rivals event will begin on December 20 and will be called Winter Celebration. This event will add a up-to-date time-limited 4v4 mode called Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival, where everyone plays as Jeff in a Splatoon-inspired mode.
Marvel Rivals Winter Celebration will allow all players to unlock items such as the Jeff the Land Shark: Cuddly Fuzzlefin costume, nameplate, and spray by completing certain objectives. Other winter-themed costumes will also be added to Marvel Rivals, although they don’t appear to be unlockable for free. Groot, Rocket, Venom and Magik will receive winter-themed costumes.

While we haven’t reviewed Marvel Rivals, Nick played the game ahead of launch and in his preview wrote, “Marvel Rivals may take up a lot of my time at the moment. I’m choking to play more and December 6th can’t come soon enough.
