Indiana Jones and the Great Circle update dramatically improves lighting effects on Xbox

Published:

Bethesda and MachineGames have just released a up-to-date update for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle that appears to dramatically improve lighting effects on Xbox consoles.

In a blog post, MachineGames announced the release of its second update for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, which includes general gameplay and bug fixes. However, an Xbox-specific patch appears to have significantly improved the appearance of global illumination in the game.

Here are two images posted by MachineGames showing the differences before and after the update.

As you can see in the before and after photos, the update appears to have removed some of the faded look of the pre-patch version. Thanks to Global Illumination updates and improvements, Indiana Jones looks much more natural, with deeper shadows and more correct colors.

Indiana Jones and The Great Circle is one of the best Xbox games to come out in some time, and it feels like a truly great Indiana Jones movie while still providing the excellent gameplay that MachineGames is known for in games like Wolfenstein. The up-to-date update makes a great looking game even better.
