Considering that Esports World Cup 2024 turned out to be a huge, or at least impressive, success, many publishers have confirmed the return of their top games for 2025. Garena’s Free Fire has already confirmed their return, and now Moonton’s Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is also available . confirmed joining the team.

The Esports World Cup will host two events presented by Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. The MLBB Mid Season Cup and MLBB Women’s Invitational tournaments saw teams from regions around the world come to Riyadh to compete.

At the MSC, Selangor Red Giants took home gold and the Women’s Invitational was won by Smart Omega Empress, beating Team Vitality, who up to that point had an unbroken streak of 25 consecutive championships stretching back to 2021.

Big, but massive enough?

For now, it looks like virtually all previously presented Esports World Cup games will return. But for all their power, I can’t aid but notice that very few, if any, host truly critical competitions.

For example, MLBB’s main event being a mid-season cup seems to indicate to fans that the Esports World Cup is viewed more as a side event than a main event. What can be considered good and bad. Good in the sense that EWC doesn’t overshadow existing leagues, but bad in the sense that you can just see it playing second in the main event.

In any case, those who are fans will be very cheerful to see so many people return to this dazzling tournament.

And if this has inspired you to try MLBB, be sure to check out the best characters in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang in our own ranking!
