Warframe: 1999 it’s finally here, and with it some surprises like a brand recent housing system for players. Backroom is a fully functional home base, equipped in every detail like Orbiter.
1999 it also added recent arcana, reworked older Warframes, and added recent frames, among other things. But if you’re ready to move into a posh apartment, read on.
What is the Backend in Warframe?
In low, the HQ is an apartment that you can exploit as a base of operations. It includes everything you already have in your Orbiter, like the navigation console, Foundry, Arsenal, Helminth, Codex, and the like. Additionally, you get luxuries such as additional display stands.
You can decorate your Hinterland as you wish, just like your Orbiter, and you can even make the Hinterland your indefinite base, replacing your Orbiter. This means that whenever you return from a mission or even log into the game, you will be sent to the Back Office and not the Orbiter.
The backroom is also directly connected to the Höllvania Central shopping center, i.e Warframe: The 99’s node area, so this is an proficient way to access 1999 contents. Of course, you can also do this via a back-office computer, just like in your Orbiter, if that’s your preference.
How to change your base of operations in Warframe

Once you’re done Warframe: The 99’s task, The Hex, you will have access to the Backyard. To change your base of operations from the Orbiter or Vagabond Camp, simply go to your computer in the Orbiter and select the Backstage icon next to the Höllvania Central shopping mall.
You will be asked if you want to make the change, and once you confirm, the operation will be performed. You can return your base of operations to the Orbiter or Drifter Camp by navigating to Earth on the Star Chart and selecting them. The whole process takes only a few seconds.
Please note that in order to actually play The Hex quest, you must have completed not only Duviri’s Paradox, but also Warframe main questline by the Lotus Eaters. If you are a recent player, it will definitely take some time, but the Backend will be waiting for you.
Tips and tricks for decorating your Backroom in Warframe

As you notice, the Back Room is furnished. However, if you’re looking for a fresh start, open the Backend menu and go to: Equipment > Backstage > The appearance of the backend. Hence uncheck Default decorations perceptible. This will remove the furniture.
However, remember that the Backend will not remain completely empty. Not only all the vital, hard to remove items will remain, but also some pieces of furniture. That said, most things will be removed. And no, you can’t move the furniture; just turn them on or off.
Backroom is surprisingly adaptable in terms of where you can place things, but fair warning, you may have more trouble sticking decorations into walls and other such tricks than you did in Orbiter. Fortunately, the facilities are quite vast, so you’ll have plenty of space to work.
Currently, you can’t navigate hard elements like the navigation console, but it’s possible that Digital Extremes will add this feature in the future, given the popularity of Backroom as a replacement for Orbiter. However, nothing is certain yet.
