Aaron Paul stars in Dispatch, a story-driven superhero management game from former Telltale creators

Aaron Paul, whose credits include the heartbreaking role of Todd on “Bojack Horseman” as well as “Breaking Bad,” stars in a fresh strategy role-playing game from AdHoc, a studio headed by former Telltale creators. Dispatch is a story-focused strategy game that puts you in the role of a broke superhero trying to get a fresh mech suit while working at a hero shipping center. I’m having trouble finding the trailer for this movie, but you can find it here on Steam.

Wait. I found it! But let’s leave this last part aside. Consider this my gift to you, the reader. The gift of observable workflow at 4am.

“Dispatch is a workplace superhero comedy where choices matter,” reads the descriptions. “Manage a dysfunctional team of misfits and strategize who to dispatch to city-wide emergencies, while balancing office politics, personal relationships, and your own quest to be a hero.”

To do this, you’ll make choices in an unfolding story and manage a group of superheroes from a tactical map of the city, responding to emergencies by dispatching those you deem fit for the task. Each hero has “quirks, flaws, and baggage that you’ll have to deal with to keep your team together,” as well as improve their skills and abilities.

This one will be released sometime next year. Some humor aside, I really like the look of it! Management games with a bit of personality are always great fun, and the number of different systems competing against each other looks intriguing. I also like The Man Who Is Also a Bat.
