The Game Awards ceremony will take place once again, and the standout winners of the night include Balatromanages to get prestigious Mobile game of the year award, defeating powerful competition in the form of Zenless Zone Zero, Wuthering Waves, Pokémon TCG Pocket.
It must be admitted that while other games would also be worthy winners, Balatro is certainly one of the best mobile games to be released in 2024, taking the world by storm by combining roguelike mechanics with poker gameplay. The Joker cards are the real stars of the show, each one changing the game and throwing curveballs. You also need to carefully consider what deck you apply and build, as it may have some unique effects.
If you want to know how good it is, Balatro not only received a nomination for Mobile Game of the Year; it also earned nominations for Best Indie Game Debut (which it won), Indie Game of the Year (another win), and the biggest award of all, Game of the Year.
