Day of the Devs has become an indie gaming institution, committed to highlighting games both massive and petite, expected and unexpected. It takes place twice a year in conjunction with Summer Games Fest and The Game Awards, and this year’s edition leading up to TGA 2024 is packed with some great games.

Be a shooting star trying to cross the galaxy and connect other dots of lithe into constellations. There is a main mode that can be played endlessly, as well as two puzzle modes.

Demonic Tides by Fabrazza
The successor to Demon Turf, Demon Tides is another 3D platformer that relies on tons of character transformations for moves. These will allow you to move around worlds really quickly, using talismans to add novel skills, equipping a maximum of 5 at a time.
Kingmakers on Redemption Road
Travel back in time to medieval England, but with up-to-date weapons, as you try to unite the country and save the world. Fight with machine guns in hand, but then build cities and castles and utilize them as staging points to raise armies and conquer. Co-op support for up to 4 players is available, and the game will launch on PC in 2025.

A puzzle game with a twist of Braid, Recur puts you in the role of a postman who wants to overcome all kinds of crazy and explosive challenges, using the ability to rewind time back and forth in sync with movement from left to right, or right to left.
The Blue Prince by Dogubomb
Say it out noisy. Blue Prince is a house-building puzzle where you fill a 5×9 floor plan with unique rooms, trying to get deeper and deeper through the grid to find room 46. It’s certainly confusing.
Incolatus: Don’t stop Girlypop! by Funny Fintan Softworks
Y2K’s girl pop is back in this incredibly colorful shooter that’s all about going as brisk and as possible. The bunny jumps to go faster, and the faster you go, the bigger your guns become and the more scopes they have. Oh, and there’s also a dress-up metagame where you utilize different materials and colors to customize your arms… and only your arms.
LOK Digital by Letibus Design & Icedrop Game
The LOK puzzle book has been translated into a digital game and is now available! Learn a novel, completely invented language, one job at a time, playing a sort of word search game in the invented language. Premiere today on PC and mobile devices next year.
Neon Abyss 2 from Veewo Games
Neon Abyss 2, the sequel to 2020’s roguelike run ‘n’ gunner, elevates everything even further. Early access release in 2025.
County Cresent at Electric Saint
Hop on your broom and work during the day, then head out to the underground broom races in the evening. Make deliveries, raise sheep, repair lines, then utilize the money to trick the broom, race and flirt with your rivals.

PBJ – a musical by Kami Box
A video game musical about peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, narrated by children reading Shakespeare, featuring artwork made from real cut-out paper collages and music by Britain’s Got Talent 2015 semi-finalist Lorraine Bowen!
Curiosmos – Céline and stupid stars
Build your own solar system from scratch around a star by creating planets from stardust, then go to the surfaces of 2D planets and create mountains, valleys, volcanoes and more. You can even initiate life and evolution…. and then throw it into the void. Oh, and there’s a black hole a few lithe years away.
Bionic Bay by Psychoflow Studio and Mureena Oy
A platform adventure with side-scrolling in the style of Limbo and the like. Bionic Bay’s hook is the growing ability to alter gravity and power, control time, teleport and swap places with objects, run with clones, and much more.
The game will be available on PS5 and PC on March 13, 2025.

Stock the shelves at a grocery store in a petite town in Japan. You can pick up any item, move things anywhere, and learn a little about your customers based on what they buy and how they react, for example, to putting bread in the fridge.
Feltopia from Wooly Games
A fully handmade stop-motion shooter that works in reverse. You don’t try to blow up enemies, but you bring their blackened scales back to life, turning them into butterflies, for example. Fight your way to save the Rainbow Flock and gain their skills. You can add your wishlist now with the game set for 2026.
