“Ancient vows” is an Act 2 quest Path of Exile 2 which assigns you the task of finding a mysterious relic, although you only receive one vague hint: “Find a employ for the Relic.”
The quest “Ancient Vows” will send you on a hunt around the Act 2 Vastiri Plains in search of the missing half of the relic. The only problem is that the mission doesn’t tell you where to find it, how to get it, or even that it exists. In addition, you need to find a place to place the relics. But, on the other hand, you will receive a permanent bonus for completing the task!

“Ancient Vows” quest steps in POE2
“Ancient Vows” can be easily divided into four stages:
- Start the “Ancient Vows” quest by collecting a Kabal Clan Relic or a Sun Clan Relic.
- Collect the missing relic of these two.
- Take the relics to the altar found in the Valley of the Titans.
- Choose one of two power-ups.

“Ancient Vows” relic locations in POE2
To complete the “Ancient Vows” quest, you need two relics: Kabal Clan and Sun Clan. You’ve already found one to start the quest, so you just need to find the other one. Both relics can be found randomly by dropping from enemies, but can be found on two different maps.
The Kabal Clan Relic can be found in Bone Pitswhile the SunClan Relic can be found in Keith.
How to employ “Ancient Vow” relics in POE2

After retrieving both the Kabal Clan Relic and the Sun Clan Relic, head to Titan Valley landmark. Next to the waypoint you’ll find a medallion that seems to match both relics. Place both relics in the medallion to complete the quest and receive the buff of your choice.
If you are having difficulty placing relics in your medallion because they keep disappearing, go to settings and go to the “Interface” tab. Scroll down and turn on “Always Highlight” to keep the medallion on screen while dragging relics from your inventory.
Please note that this setting will highlight items on the ground for you, so your screen may get a little cluttered if you leave it on!
Which Ancient Oaths bonus to choose?

After successfully placing the relics in the medallion, you will have to choose between two power-ups:
- 30% increased charm stacks acquired
- 15% increased mana recovery from bottles
These buffs can work on any class, but their value will vary depending on your build. For example, if you often run out of mana, mana regeneration will be more suitable for you. Increased charm charges can take effect on those who are able to consistently take a certain type of damage. For example, Infernalists can convert cold and lightning damage they take into fire damage, so a Charging Booster Amulet and a Ruby Amulet could work well.
Overall, choose the buff that best suits your build, and if you ever want to change it, you can teleport back to the Valley of the Titans landmark and change the buff at no cost.
