The route to Switzerland is already open in Ticket to Ride. Thanks to its up-to-date expansion in Switzerland, the digital board game now offers both country-to-country and city-to-country routes. Now you can develop routes through Switzerland and neighboring countries as you build your railway empire.
The Switzerland expansion also introduces two up-to-date characters and four up-to-date tokens just in time for the holiday season. Developer Marmalade says it wanted to release the up-to-date expansion during the holiday season as a gift to Ticket to Ride fans. The expansion not only offers up-to-date locations, but also adds up-to-date mechanics. These up-to-date routes will require you to reassess your strategy as you work to build a prospering rail empire. According to the creator, the add-on is intended for both up-to-date players and advanced players and encourages a vigorous style of gameplay.
Domestic tickets require a country connection to another country indicated on the ticket. You will have many options on each of these tickets. For example, you may be able to combine France with Germany, Italy or Austria, each offering a different number of completion points.
Each country has a set number of hubs available, so strategic plans will need to be drawn up quickly to configure key routes. Tickets from city to country were almost the same, except that you will connect city to country, as the name suggests.
Once you have completed your route, you will receive points for the completed connection with the most points on each ticket. If you fail to complete any connection to the ticket, you will lose points equal to the lowest value on the ticket.
