Bandai Namco has announced that the release date of BLEACH Rebirth of Souls is March 21. It will be available on PC, PS5, PS4 and Xbox Series X|S. The game was first announced in July, with confirmation that BLEACH Rebirth of Souls would feature an entirely novel story rather than adapting the established plot. To celebrate March 21, a novel trailer featuring Aizen and Yamamoto was released. These are the next two playable characters in the game.
In BLEACH Rebirth of Souls, the more dire the circumstances, the greater a character’s power can be. In the middle of any conflict, the dynamics can change as characters can unleash powerful attacks the closer they get to defeat. This state reveals novel shapes and swords that allow players to snatch triumph from the jaws of defeat.
Three versions of BLEACH Rebirth of Souls are now available for pre-order. The standard edition includes the game itself and will cost £54.99. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the base game, the Season Pass with seven days of early access, and a set of 2 Soul Crystals to upgrade the player’s skills. This edition will cost £79.99. The Digital Ultimate Edition includes the base game, the Season Pass with seven days of Early Access, Soul Crystal 2 and 3, the Thousand Year Blood War Costume Set, and the Rebirth of Souls Costume Set. This edition will cost £94.99. Those who pre-order will also receive the Toshiro and Yoruichi Thousand Year Blood War costume sets.
The last Bleach game we reviewed was 2011’s Bleach: Soul Resurrección. Dan then said: “This story wasn’t handled particularly well either. Having just a wall of text at the start of a level is actually quite deflationary, and instead of pumping the player for a bit of carnage, it has the opposite effect. If the entire story had been fleshed out, the score would have been slightly higher. Overall, it’s a fun game, but also a real missed opportunity.”
