Guardians Guild (GOG) has announced a special December Leaderboard update to celebrate the end of the year and the first holiday season for the game. This update introduces significant changes to the rankings scoring system and offers a number of novel game modes and features aimed at improvement player experience.
Move to weekly scores
Based on player feedback, GOG has moved from Global Aggregate Scores to Global Weekly Rankings Scores. This means each week’s rankings will be scored independently across all game modes, providing a fresh start and novel opportunities for gamers weekly. The total number of token rewards on the leaderboard in December will be 1,500,000 tokens.
Office closure at the end of the year
Constant, the company behind GOG, in the period from December 23, 2024 to January 3, 2025, there will be office downtime at the end of the year. During this period only critical staff will remain who will ensure the silky operation of basic systems. As a result, no token rewards can be withdrawn during this time. To ensure that rewards are distributed before Christmas, GOG will evaluate and award rewards based on leaderboard results from the two weeks before the system goes offline.
New game modes and features
The week of December 3 will be a special week for GOG, with its launch diverse novel game modes and features designed to improve quality of life and test completely novel features. Because of novel content expected this week, in week 3 only the special event mode will be scored. Token rewards will be modified to reduce competitive pressure on players.
In the fourth week December, we can expect novel features to be rolled out and ongoing live testing of these improvements. Just like in Week 3, in Week 4 only the special Arena event will be scored. Token rewards will follow the Week 3 structure, but these rewards will not be paid out until January 2025.
December game mode schedule
The December game mode schedule includes Endless, Arena, Rush and Special Event modes, with specific weeks dedicated to each mode. Players can expect invigorating competitions and generous rewards including tokens, rubies, XP scrolls and gold.
