Here’s why the “Done” button in Fortnite is gone

With a record-breaking virtual concert, Chapter 6, Season 1 in Fortnite It has already gained a lot of enthusiasm among fans on the Internet. However, not everything has been velvety sailing since the novel season began on Sunday. In particular, the “Get Ready” button that appears after a match ends and allows you to start a novel game disappeared on the same day that the novel update was released.

Now, players who want to play multiple matches in a row must return to the lobby to load into another game and suffer an annoying extra step when they want to keep playing.

Official Fortnite status account on X confirmed the change on Sunday. According to the developers, the team has disabled the “investigate issue” button. Epic Games didn’t specify a time frame in which developers would bring back the feature, but did say it would return in a “future update.” The post instructed those wishing to play another match to return to the lobby and join the novel game from there. (Polygon didn’t play the game until Monday afternoon, and the button was still missing.)

This change doesn’t ruin the overall experience, but it can certainly be annoying. I already have to nag my teammates to click the “Get ready” button when everything is working, so now this adds an extra (and completely unnecessary) step to the process. Repeating this action can add up over time.

A missing button slightly spoils this excellent debut Fortnitenovel season of content. On Saturday, players took part in the record-breaking “Remix: The Finale” concert with Juice WRLD. According to Epic Games, this event was most viewed Fortnite concert of all time and has amassed over 14 million concurrent players. This, and the introduction of a Japanese-inspired map and loot pool, gave players a reason to get excited about the upcoming novel era Fortnite.
