The Season 7 Public Test Land (PTR) Down Diablo 4 allows you to test the novel seasonal theme, which this time refers to Diablo 4 season 2
Season 7 PTR players will be able to test out novel powers along with quality of life upgrades like the highly requested Armory, which makes switching between multiple versions of the same character a breeze. Diablo 4 Season 7 won’t be released on live servers until January 2025, but the Season 7 PTR will begin in early December 2024.
Below are the exact dates for the upcoming PTR testing period Diablo 4 Season 7, explain what you’ll be able to play and tell us how to get to Diablo 4 PTR.
When will the Diablo 4 Season 7 PTR be released?
The Diablo 4 PTR season 7 will continue from Tuesday, December 3 to Tuesday, December 10. Blizzard has not announced a specific time when the test server will launch on December 3, or when it will be shut down next week. The studio will likely announce this information on its social media accounts.
If the studio announces an immediate date before December 3, we will update this post.
How to get to Diablo 4 PTR?
To get to PTR for Diablo 4, you must have a computer who can play this game. There is currently no PTR console. You also need to have access Diablo 4 via the Battle.net launcher, which you can do if you own the game via Battle.net or PC Game Pass.
Once the launcher recognizes that you are the owner Diablo 4you can click on the drop-down menu, look for the “in development” tag and select Public Test Area. You will then need to download the PTR version and wait until it is ready and available on December 3.
Unlike other games, the PTR is not a lottery system and anyone with access to the game on Battle.net can play the PTR without having to submit an application to Blizzard. Just remember that the purpose of this event is to give Blizzard feedback on the seasonal theme so that developers can improve it before launch – it’s not just a demo.
What’s coming to Diablo 4 in Season 7?
Season 7 offers a mix of different types of “borrowed power”, which means a ephemeral seasonal system that increases your character’s power. Blizzard added such systems to the game for the first three seasons, and then introduced major overhauls to the game in subsequent seasons.
Season 7 features two borrowed power systems that harken back to the powers of the vampires from Season of Blood and the Malignant Heart Rings from the first season of the game. But this time there’s a whole Witch Doctor theme around it, unfortunately Diablo 3.
There are three types of spell powers that players can employ and improve their physique: Awesomeness, Psyche, and Rise/Fall. These powers are passive and some of them are Unique. There are also Jewels of the occultwhich players can insert into their jewelry to create thrilling novel effects. Players can progress through these novel systems by completing Whispers for the Whisper Tree and participating in Headhuntinga Hell Tide-like activity that occupies an area for a period of time.
In addition to these novel seasonal offerings, the Season 7 PTR will allow Vessel of Hate players to try out novel Runes, and all players will be able to employ novel Legendary Aspects and Unique items to create various builds. They will then be able to save and swap these structures in the Armory, something players have been requesting since then Diablo 4 launched last year.
