If you or someone who binge-watches TV needs a refresher on the groundbreaking hit Apple TV+ Cutting offthe two main people behind it. Debuting on January 7, ten days before the debut of the show’s second season, Cutting off executive producer Ben Stiller and Adam Scott will be the main host of the series Severance Podcast with Ben Stiller and Adam Scott.
The sci-fi thriller, in which Lumon employees separate non-work memories (Outies) from work memories (Innies) to produce terrifying results, was always a field of questions throughout its nine episodes, entertaining viewers while gently making them think. When Severance Podcast with Ben Stiller and Adam Scott will debut, it will start with two episodes devoted exclusively to the first season, and a modern episode will appear every weekday until January 16. These are nine episodes devoted to unraveling the series’ maze of corridors. The pair will then delve into the second season every Friday, starting January 17.
They’ll be joined by several other Lumon loyalists – Zach Cherry, John Turturro and Britt Lower – as podcast guests, hopefully providing context to some of the wildest moments of the first season. Who created the choreography eminent dance scene? What is the nature of Burt (Christopher Walken) and Irving’s (Turturro) relationship in the outside world? What do each of these strange rooms mean? We want answers now!
Stiller, who he told Collider directed half of the second season’s episodes, says the modern season will explore the relationship between Innie and Outies, especially through the lens of Scott’s character, Mark Scout.
“Now we kind of opened up the world to newcomers who were in the outside world, so we felt it was our responsibility to open up the story in that way, up the stakes, and really delve into those relationships in terms of what Mark is dealing with in that unique innie and outie situation.
We may have to wait a little longer for the modern season Cutting offbut Stiller says a third season is already in the works. As we wait for the Great War of the Other vs. Outie vs. Lumona vs. our collective sanity, Scott and Stiller’s modern podcast should be the companion we all need.
