The ongoing legal battle between Nintendo & The Pokemon Company and Palworld developer Pocketpair may be heating up, but the development of fresh content for Palworld is not slowing down. Now the company has announced a surprise collaboration with Terraria, which will happen in 2025.
The discovery came via game social channels with the original promotional graphics you see above. Details on the nature of this collaboration/crossover have yet to be revealed as our focus is elsewhere for now, but needless to say, we’re very intrigued.

In addition to the crossover announcement, which may or may not translate into updates for both games, a brand fresh island filled with fresh creatures and challenges will be added to Palworld in December, with developers calling it the “biggest, roughest, and most mysterious” yet. For those knee-deep in the game, the size of the fresh landmass is approximately six times the size of Sakurajima. The official post also includes screenshots. Check them out below:

While the buzz around Palworld certainly isn’t as high as it was earlier this year, Pocketpair’s survival crafting game, which features Pokemon-like creatures and more than a few familiar mechanics, has earned an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating. on Steam and it still has thousands of players daily, not counting everyone who plays the game on Xbox and, more recently, PS5.
If Terraria does get Palworld-inspired content in 2025, it would mark another major update for Re-Logic after the developers repeatedly stated they were moving away from the fantastic 2D crafting classic that launched in 2011.
In other Palworld-adjacent news, fans were recently upset that The Game Awards ignored the game, and the game’s CM stepped in and said the community should relax. Earlier today, we also learned about a cheeky Tencent-backed Horizon rip-off called Light of Motiram, which made some people think of Palworld’s complicated relationship with Pokemon as a “source of inspiration” (to put it mildly).
