Dear pioneers, greetings from Honkai: Star Railway development team! It’s been a while, but today we’re elated to share more information about version 2.7, A New Venture on the Eighth Dawn, which begins on December 4, the final chapter before Astral Express sets its sights on the mysterious land of Amphoreus called the Eternal Land. This update concludes our Penacona chapter and paves the way for a fresh story in version 3.0.
In the previous story arc, Black Swan suggested that the crew journey to Amphoreus, a land so mysterious that even the Aeon of the Blazed Path, Akivili, has never been able to reach it. Curious yet cautious, Navigator Himeko decides to gather all available information about this place. Meanwhile, the Crew make one last stop at Penacona, reuniting with senior friends and making lasting memories in a final farewell before they embark on their next daring journey.
Old friends returning to the spotlight
The memories of that performance at the Penacony Grand Theater are as bright as yesterday. It wasn’t just the Astral Express or the Penacons that woke up from their slumber – Sunday did too. When you think about it, there’s something deeply moving about sharing the stage with Mr. Sunday again. Retiring from his role as head of the Oak Family, he decided to “Descend into the mortal realm and wander their lands. See what this world is really like.” Rejecting the blessings of Harmony and Order, Sunday sets out to live out his vision of utopia as a mere mortal. This time he returns to Penacona thanks to the aid of the mysterious Pepeshi called Wonweek with one wish: to give one last, unforgettable performance before setting off on a fresh journey. As such, his robe and hood serve not only to give him a fresh look, but also to conceal his true identity during his final dance on the Planet of Celebration.
As a 5-star imaginary, Sunday has unique support capabilities, and his ability causes an ally to immediately take action and escalate their DMG. If this ally has a Summon, then both the ally and the Summon can immediately take the action and further improve the DMG Boost effect. When Sunday uses her Ultimate, she regenerates Energy for one ally and makes that ally and its Summon Beatified. Halo is granted to an ally who becomes Beatified and increases their CRIT DMG.
Another character that will appear soon is Fugue, who we know as our senior friend Tingyun. Once a considerate fox girl, she now finds that her name, appearance, and even identity have been stolen. However, fate left her with a slim thread of hope, although the mark of Destruction still trembles uneasily within her. Tingyun narrowly escaped death after her encounter with Phantylia during the 1.2 main story arc, and was only saved by the intervention of Madam Ruan Mei of the Genius Society, who gave her a second chance at life. Recently, Himeko and Welt visited Madam Ruan Mei and took it upon themselves to bring Miss Tingyun home, renewing her journey back to where she belongs.
Fugue is a 5-star Fire character who can support one ally to reduce Stamina regardless of the enemy’s Type Weakness. While Fugue is on the battlefield, enemy targets are affected by the Cloud Flame Glow condition. When Cloudflame’s Mirror drops to zero, the target gains DMG Break again. Furthermore, when teammates attack enemy targets with Weakness Break, they will inflict Super Break DMG. And that’s not all – Fugue can utilize his Technique to escalate the Break Effect of allied characters. When he uses his ultimate, he deals Fire DMG to all enemies, and this attack ignores Weakness Type to directly reduce the Stamina of all enemies.
Additionally, restricted 5-star characters General Jing Yuan and Firefly will return in the first and second half of the 2.7 warp event, respectively. Their tremendous support makes them invaluable allies in your future journeys.

There’s even more thrilling news: Relic will also be getting the 3.0 update. You’ll be able to choose your relic’s main stat and secondary stats using specialized tools during synthesis! By using a certain amount of the fresh item, Wish Resin, along with Self-Modeling Resin, you can set both the primary and secondary stats for a relic at the same time.
Finally, before we bow out, Pom-Pom discovered something special while organizing the Trailblazer’s storage boxes! From the 2.7 update until the end of 3.2, Pioneers can claim the Gift of the Express, allowing them to choose one regular five-star character of their choice. Our pioneering journey continues, with both senior friends and fresh allies – let’s go out together and fight side by side!
This concludes our observations on version 2.7. Stay tuned, because there are even more surprises in store.
