Dragon Age: Veilguard modders added tattoos to Baldur’s Gate 3, so you can remind yourself that your companions don’t fling you across the room as sexy as Lae’zel on your mug

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is a game about you and a bunch of different people – weirdos, to be straightforward – engaging in fantasy. Baldur’s Gate 3 is a slightly different game about you and a bunch of different people – weirdos, to be straightforward – engaging in fantasy. And now, thanks to a modder, you can combine the two a bit by giving Rook some face ink.

Don’t worry, it should be a bit less embarrassing than what DATV modders plaster on Solas’ face. After all, having something you only vaguely understand what it means scrawled across your forehead is never a bad thing.

Either way, modder ShadyKnight has taken on the task of porting over a selection of tattoos from BG3, titling their creation “Astarion would be proud‘.

“Just like it says on the tin, this mod replaces almost all default tattoos with BG3 tattoos,” they wrote. “It’s not 100% perfect yet, but I’m satisfied enough to post it.” Cool.

Either way, all your ancient favorites are here. Chic face paint for your child’s birthday. Terrible scribbles on the neck. A chin that looks like you’re dribbling a little stylishly. Three little birds on your cheek, so you can pretend you know boobs perfectly. There’s also clown makeup.

Whatever you choose, it’s sure to be a weird reminder of all the weird stuff you did in BG3. You’ll have a very deep, very nice conversation with one of Veilguard’s ranks of generally slightly too nice teammates, and then boom, you’ll see this thing on your Tower’s face and boom, you’ll be transported back in time, Astarion said something too snarky for your taste, mid-flirt, or Lae’zel burned down the entire camp because fighting with you got her so excited.

In other news, Veilguard, game third patch recently arrived. It’s quite minor, with some quality of life changes like photo mode and UI, as well as fixes for things like “weird facial expression when Rook first meets Emmrich.”

I feel a little unhappy about this because it was probably dead amusing.
