Final Fantasy 14 has been extremely popular and has been for many years. Square Enix’s MMORPG may have had a rocky start, but it’s gone from strength to strength after A Realm Reborn and is being played by countless people across all platforms, including PS5 and PS4. However, Eorzea will soon be even more accessible.
Lightspeed Studios, developer of PUBG Mobile, is creating Final Fantasy 14 Mobile, a miniaturized version of the game that can be placed in your pocket.
As announced by producer and director Yoshi-P in the video above, this version of the game will be “specially tailored” for smartphones and will “faithfully” recreate the story, combat, and other features from the main game.
While it has neither been confirmed nor denied to be compatible with the main game, FF14 Mobile appears to be a distinct experience despite some similarities. It will feature multiple playable races, nine professions at launch, and an Armory system that allows you to change jobs on the fly.
It will also feature plenty of side activities such as chocobo racing, the Triple Triad, fishing, mining, and more.
The game will be released first in China, with a global launch to follow later. Will you be playing Final Fantasy 14 on mobile and PlayStation? Let us know in the comments section below.
