Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is finally coming to PS5 this December and it will be the PS5 Pro Enhanced version

PlayStation gamers have waited long enough for this, but it’s finally becoming a reality. Fatshark announced this week that Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will officially arrive on PS5 on December 3.

Longtime fans of the Swedish developer should be well aware that the studio has a penchant for releasing games and major updates at the end of the year, and that clearly hasn’t changed.

The PS5 version of Darktide will arrive more than a year after the release of the (itself delayed) Xbox version and two years after its release on PC. Darktide is undoubtedly a much better and more powerful game than it will be at the end of 2022.

Those who purchase the game on PlayStation will get the latest version of the co-op and melee shooter hybrid, although Fatshark hasn’t said anything about cross-play support on PC and Xbox.

All standard PS5 features are supported, including DualSense touch feedback. The recently released PS5 Pro console will also provide an enhanced experience with a frame rate of 60fps in 4K resolution. On the standard PS5, you’ll be able to choose between performance (1440p at 60fps) and quality (4k at 30fps).

The game is now available for pre-order in the PlayStation store. PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive a 10% discount on the Standard Edition and 15% on the Imperial Edition. Speaking of which, the Imperial Edition also unlocks six days early, not to mention in-game currency and some unique cosmetic items.
