Stardew Valley creator says if update 1.6 causes performance issues, take off all your pet hats

This week’s release of Stardew Valley 1.6 on consoles and mobile devices was plagued by a number of issues, including disappearing chickens. Now, players are reporting performance issues after the update is released, although the game’s developer has a solution.

In tweetEric “ConcernedApe” Barone suggested taking off all your pet hats if you’re experiencing performance issues in Stardew Valley 1.6. “We will address the issue as quickly as possible.”

Earlier this week, Barone introduced the story of Stardew Valley to explain the problem of disappearing chickens, blaming it on a wild coyote on the farm.

Barone also has some knowledge explaining performance issues, tweeting: “There are rumors of a strange rash on the ears of animals in Zuzu City, and we just want to make sure those ears can breathe for a few days.”

Yesterday, November 5, Barone revealed it Stardew Valley 1.6 added a hidden experimental multiplayer feature to the mobile version of the game. It can be unlocked with a Konami code.
