How to solve the lighthouse statues puzzle in Dragon Age: The Veilguard

Published:

The Puzzle with lighthouse statues is available once completed Dragon Age: Guardian of the Veilprologue and reach the Lighthouse, your base of operations. In the library you will find a door with a mysterious note that says: “Three face-to-face meetings, under the sky.”

This note refers to a multi-part puzzle that takes place in and around the lighthouse. At first you’ll need to place three pairs of statues facing each other, but you’ll also need to track down some wisps.

Our Dragon Age: Guardian of the Veil the guide will show you complete solution to the Lighthouse puzzleincluding where to find (and how to orient) all three pairs of statues.

How to start solving the lighthouse statue puzzles in Dragon Age: The Veilguard

As soon as you gain access to the lighthouse, you will be able to find a magically locked door. In the library – the main room where all meetings take place – you will find a door on the north wall.

Next to it is a note that reads: “Three face-to-face meetings, under the sky.” What this means for you is that the puzzle has three steps, each step will involve a face (or faces), and all the steps are outside in the courtyard.

Leave the library and go to the workshop outside. Turn right and return to the spiral staircase. At the top you will find a statue that you can rotate. (You’ll later be able to – and often should – play rock, paper, scissors against Manfred here.)

There’s another note here that says this “To enter the library hall, three couples must meet face to face.” So you need to find three pairs of statues and arrange them so that they face each other.

Use the lever arm protruding from the base of the statue to rotate it so it faces east, toward the dining room. If you look this way you will see a statue and you need to point it back to this one.

Head into the dining room and go around the right (south) side. Turn the statue there so it points to the library to the west.

On the way back, head north and go to Neve’s office, but don’t go inside. Just to the right of the stairs leading to her room is a spot where you can jump down and go underneath. Do this and you’ll find another statue to the north.

Rotate this one to face west (back towards the library). Look this way and you will see another statue behind Belara’s workshop. This one is easier to get to – just go around the left side of the building. Point this one towards the east.

The last pair of statues are located where you started. Return to the library and go up the stairs to the first statue. This time, keep going until you reach the landing directly above the library door. There are a couple of statues there. Turn them so they are facing each other.

Go through the music room

When you return to the library, the door on the north wall will open (more on the matching door on the south wall in a minute). Continue to find music room.

Collect everything you can, then notice the door on the left (west) side. I need two strands open. One hovers right next to the piano. Install it on one of the pedestals near the door.

The Caretaker will appear and tell you that: “Another helper waits among the gods facing each other.” (They will leave behind a note with the same information.) While cryptic, this only means that the next wisp is at the last pair of statues – the ones above the door to the library.

Go outside and get it back.

Bring the wisp back to the music room and another door will open, revealing a portal.

Walk through it and you’ll find yourself on a high balcony above the library – a part of the lighthouse that would otherwise be impossible to reach.

Before you do anything else, grab the wisp from the balcony and place it on the up-to-date pedestal across from the portal. This opens another portal, which we will go through in a moment.

On the balcony, activate device in the left corner. Repairs and restores the library’s astrolabe, and more importantly, downgrades the Caretaker’s workshop.

Go back up the stairs and go through the second portal.

You will go out onto the balcony above the guard tower. Open the chest and then grab the floating crystal. Place it in the beam device.

Your task is to direct it at three crystals to free the locks. These crystals float above three domes right in front of you.

Once all three wisps are released and float towards the library, return. This time, the door on the south wall will open, revealing (yet) another portal. Go through

This portal leads to Wolf’s Den high above the library. Take anything that isn’t nailed down – Solas can’t utilize it anymore. There is another door here, but it only leads to a balcony with a hellish view.
