The Warcraft 30th Anniversary Direct Stream will celebrate Blizzard’s franchise while also previewing the future

Warcraft turns 30 this year, and Blizzard is celebrating its biggest franchise with a special Warcraft Direct 30th Anniversary broadcast that will celebrate its past while sharing what’s on the horizon.

The Blizzard broadcast will take place on November 13 at 10 a.m. ET and 1 p.m. ET and will feature “something for everyone,” from old-school real-time strategy fans to World of Warcraft players. Warcraft Rumble and Hearthstone will also appear on the stream. It will replace BlizzCon 2024, which was canceled earlier this year.

If you think this means Blizzard will suddenly announce Warcraft IV, you probably shouldn’t get your hopes up. As detailed in the recently released Play Nice: The Rise, Fall, and Future of Blizzard Entertainment, Blizzard doesn’t really exploit RTS games these days. At best, fans will likely get a trailer encouraging them to reminisce about the good aged days, but who knows – Blizzard is actually teasing “surprises” in its broadcast.

Meanwhile, World of Warcraft fans still have something to look forward to following the release of the critically acclaimed War Within expansion. Blizzard has already announced three full expansions, which it calls “Worldsoul Saga”, and which is led in part by WoW legend Chris Metzen.

The broadcast will end with a presentation of World of Warcraft: 20 Years of Music performed by the 21st Century Orchestra and three choirs – Tales of Fantasy, Ardito and Madrijazz Gospel. You can watch the broadcast on the channels below.
