In retro news, I’m celebrating my 14th birthday Fallout: New Vegasthe best offer in the series (depends on which NPC you are in dialogue with IRL). I was delighted with the premiere thanks to its unconventional opening with Matthew Perry as the hated nemesis. NV then started to up the ante even further with more varied combat options and iron sights, as well as Obsidian’s real ace in the hole – a brilliant writing team with several OGs from Interplay who crafted a story on par with the first two FOs. I’m talking about the casino-rich dialogue (which has almost tripled Fallout 3total number of world record lines), more tasks with multiple solutions and a wider variety of consequences. I would place the bet and do it again in a minute in New Vegas.

My instinct (honed by dozens of Sonic titles) tells me it’s going to be great. It’s basically an improved version of 2011’s Sonic Generations, with fresh content featuring Shadow the Hedgehog. He won’t pack a gun. I’m not sure why he even did it.
